Child speech and language therapy in South Shropshire & Herefordshire

By understanding the individual needs of children with speech and language disorders, I can design a therapy programme to suit the particular requirements of your child.

An initial assessment is arranged to identify the child's speech and language needs, and to discuss both the parent's and child's concerns. A therapy plan is then developed to address the child's requirements. Direct therapy is given on a one-to-one basis and goals are achieved through participation in interesting games and activities.

Working towards an achievable goal

Speech therapy techniques are demonstrated for parents to use at home and activities are provided for home practice, to support development between sessions.

Some children may not require direct therapy but could benefit from a detailed programme of therapy activities for use at home or school. I can develop a programme to target individual speech and language goals for your child.
